MARDAN: The district administration here on Tuesday imposed Section 144 to prevent the shortage and hoarding of petroleum products.According to an order issued by Deputy Commissioner Wasif Rehman, the storage of petrol and diesel in cans, jerry cans, or containers, transportation of these products through vehicles, and taking these products out of the limits of the Mardan district had been prohibited.
It was stated in the order that the district administration received information about the hoarding of petroleum products by some elements and taking these products out of the district.
The authorities will take strict action against the violators under the relevant sections of the law.The order was implemented immediately and will be effective for one month.The district administration appealed to the public to follow the law and avoid the illegal sale, purchase, and hoarding of petroleum products.
