MANSEHRA: People of Oghi on Tuesday took to the streets to protest against the outsourcing of schools by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government.“Outsourcing government-run schools to private firms or entities is meant to deprive children of education, which is their basic right enshrined in the country’s constitution,” Qari Saddam Hassan, the chairman of the Parents Teachers Council of Government Primary School Dara Shanaya, told the protesters.

The protesters, including parents and students, assembled at Dara Shanaya and raised slogans in support of their demands, strongly condemning the govt’s decision to outsource educational institutions across the province.

He said that students’ strength has also increased in accordance with the government’s set formula, and even then, going for outsourcing schools here and in the rest of Hazara Division was unjust.
