The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has reportedly warned that a sustained rise in temperatures across the northern areas has heightened the risk of glacial lake outburst floods (Glofs).
The provincial and local administrations are advised to review their contingency plans, ensure the dissemination of early warnings and prepare evacuation arrangements as necessary.
