Arrangements for school enrollment campaign in Bajaur reviewed

KHAR: The officials of the district administration and education department on Friday reviewed arrangements to make the enrollment drive in the district a success.

The pledge was made at a meeting regarding the educational enrollment campaign held at the DC Office in Civil Colony Khar under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Bajaur Shahid Ali. The meeting was attended by officials of the district administration, District Education Officer Lodan Shahid, representatives from the education department, local government officials, religious scholars, and elected representatives.

The purpose of the meeting was to develop a comprehensive strategy for the effective implementation of the school enrollment campaign in Bajaur.Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Shahid Ali said that the campaign is extremely important for increasing the literacy rate in the district.

During the meeting, several key decisions were made. Administrative officers, DEOs, Deputy DEOs, ASDEOs, teachers, and school principals will organize regular sessions to encourage parents to enroll their children in schools. Village secretaries will conduct awareness sessions in their respective union councils, while religious scholars will deliver daily messages in mosques urging parents to send their children to school.

It was also decided that the Private Schools Association will actively participate in the campaign by organizing sessions and making efforts to increase student enrollment. Officials of the district administration, in collaboration with the education department, will carry out awareness activities in different areas of Bajaur.

After the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner released a video message appealing to the people of Bajaur to adorn their children with the light of education and enroll them in nearby educational institutions. The educational enrollment campaign aims to increase the literacy rate in Bajaur and ensure access to education for every child through a collective effort.
