MANSEHRA: Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Mohammad Yousuf on Tuesday said the government approved Rs8 billion for development schemes to address key issues faced by people in far-flung parts of the district.
“Our government has approved Rs8 billion for various development projects in parts of the district,” he told the inaugural ceremony of a National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) office in Jabori area here.
Sardar Yousuf said that people had to travel to Mansehra and other parts of the district to obtain computerised national identity cards (CNICs) and other services provided by NADRA.“This office will provide CNIC and other services to people from Jabori to the upper parts of Siren Valley at their doorstep,” he added.
The minister said that despite claims of progress in the education sector, the provincial government had not delivered practical results in Mansehra and other parts of Hazara Division.“Successive governments did not release development funds for
Hazara University, but the federal government has now released Rs4 billion for its develop-ment projects,” he maintained.He said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had approved Rs8 billion for roads, natural gas supply, electricity, and other development schemes in the Siran Valley areas of the district.
