KARACHI: Gold prices dropped by Rs3,400 per tola in the local market on Friday following a decline in the international rates.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, price of 24-karat gold dropped to Rs533,762 per tola. Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold decreased by Rs2,915, bringing it down to Rs457,614.
In the international market, gold rates fell by $34, settling at $5,110 per ounce. Local gold prices are typically adjusted with a premium of $20 over international rates.Silver prices, however, increased by Rs104 to Rs8,914 per tola. The price of 10-gram silver also rose by Rs89 to Rs7,642.
