PESHAWAR: Jamaat-e-Islami on Sunday condemned the US-Israel attacks on Iran and the martyrdom of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and announced to hold countrywide funeral prayers in absentia for the martyred leader.
The funeral prayers are being held on the call of the party’s central chief, Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman.
In Peshawar, the funeral prayer will be offered at Al-Markaz-e-Islami, the provincial headquarters of the party, at 1:30pm. JI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Central) Chief Abdul Wasi will lead the funeral prayer. Meanwhile, in Bannu, a funeral prayer in absentia for Iran’s martyred Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was offered at Darul Uloom Al-Islamia under the auspices of Jamaat-e-Islami Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (South).
