BUREWALA: Deputy Commissioner Khalid Javed Goraya chaired a meeting to review the law and order situation in the Vehari district in light of the prevailing international scenario. District Police Officer Tassawar Iqbal also attended the session.

The meeting assessed security arrangements to ensure peace and stability across the district. Participants reviewed precautionary measures and coordination among law enforcement agencies to maintain vigilance. Special prayers were offered for the forgiveness and elevation of ranks of Ali Khamenei and other martyrs. Addressing the participants, the deputy commissioner described the martyrdom of Ayatollah Khamenei as a great tragedy and emphasised the importance of unity and harmony to counter any designs of hostile elements. He noted that Vehari has historically remained a peaceful district and assured that the administration would continue all efforts to maintain stability. The DPO stated that in view of international developments, national unity and vigilance are essential. He stressed that Pakistan must ensure strong internal security and added that the government is fully prepared to safeguard citizens.
