Islamabad:The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) has distributed food assistance to around 3,700 vulnerable families across Pakistan as part of its Ramazan 2026 support programme, implemented in collaboration with public institutions and civil society organisations.
The nationwide initiative was carried out in partnership with Pakistan Bait ul Mal, the AJK Zakat Department, Ghazali Education Trust, Al Mustafa Welfare Society, Shah Jahan Mosque Community and Idara Al Khair Welfare Society. A distribution ceremony was held in Islamabad on February 25 in cooperation with Pakistan Bait ul Mal. Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Pakistan Irfan Neziroglu and TIKA Islamabad Programme Coordinator Saliha Tuna attended the event and met with beneficiary families.
TIKA officials said the Ramazan programme was part of the agency’s annual humanitarian assistance activities and aimed to provide food support to families identified by partner organisations as being in need during the holy month. The distribution was carried out through local partners to facilitate outreach in both urban and rural areas.
Representatives of Pakistan Bait ul Mal said the collaboration helped extend assistance to vulnerable households in multiple districts. Partner organisations said the programme enabled coordinated distribution through existing welfare networks. TIKA said the Ramazan assistance programme formed part of its broader development and humanitarian cooperation with Pakistan.
