Quake jolts several districts of Balochistan

QUETTA: Earthquake tremors were felt on Friday in several parts of Balochistan, including Naseerabad, Jhal Magsi, Sohbatpur, Usta Mohammad, Bakhtiarabad, Sibi, Dhadar, Bhag, Dera Bugti, Sui, Khuzdar and surrounding areas.

According to the Seismological Center, the first quake measured 4.1 on the Richter scale, with its epicenter near the Koh-e-Sulaiman range at a depth of 15 kilometers. Residents rushed out of homes, offices, and shops while reciting prayers, though no loss of life or property was reported.

Separately, tremors were also felt in Khuzdar and nearby areas. The second earthquake registered 3.4 on the Richter scale, with its epicenter located about 47 kilometers southeast of Balochistan. Authorities confirmed that no casualties or damages were reported from this quake either.
