PESHAWAR: Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Information Shafiullah Jan on Saturday said that Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi was leading the street movement with determination and resolve, mobilizing public support.
In a statement, he said that the chief minister, along with party leadership, led the street movement in Hazara Division, where a massive show of public strength was witnessed and the people of Hazara accorded a historic and unprecedented welcome to the chief minister and other leaders.
Shafi Jan said the enthusiastic participation of the people of Hazara Division had once again proven that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf was the country’s largest and most popular political party.
He said the public stood by Imran Khan and that PTI was the only political party capable of steering the country out of its multiple crises.
Shafi Jan said the core objective of the street movement was to ensure the supremacy of the Constitution, rule of law, true democracy, and the protection of the people’s right to govern. He made it clear that PTI’s political struggle would continue until constitutional and legal supremacy was restored and democracy strengthened.
He added that the nation had delivered a clear message that it would never bow before oppression, coercion or fascism.
