LAHORE:Police have registered a case against Qawwal Faraz Khan for performing a ‘controversial’ song during a music and cultural night organised by the Walled City Authority at Shalimar Gardens.
The event titled ‘Chandni Raatain’ was open to the public and featured Qawwali and musical performances. Faraz Khan and his group were performing when a song attributed to Adiala Jail Prisoner No 804 was allegedly sung during the show. Following the incident, police took action and registered an FIR against the Qawwal. The case was registered at Shalimar Police Station on the complaint of Shalimar Garden in-charge Zamir.
