Law students advised to stay updated

PESHAWAR: Senior lawyer and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council Vice Chairman Ahmad Farooq Khattak on Thursday advised the young law students to stay updated about modern developments and emerging trends in specialised areas of law.

“You should keep yourselves updated on modern developments and changes in specialised fields of law. These include intellectual property laws, artificial intelligence, corporate law, alternative dispute resolution, gender studies, criminology, and international conflicts and disputes, which will help you polish your professional skills,” he said while speaking at an interactive session.

The session was arranged at the main hall of Frontier Law College Peshawar. The college’s founder, Advocate Akhtar Ali Khan, presided over.The KP Bar Council vice chairman reminded the students that Frontier Law College Peshawar was the oldest private-sector law college in the province and had been declared the best law college by the Directorate of Legal Education of the Bar Council.

“I am happy to be here at this seat of learning and to interact with prospective lawyers like you, who are expected to join the field and play their role in securing justice for aggrieved people,” he added. There was a question-answer session as well where Ahmad Farooq Khattak responded to the queries by the students.
