KARACHI: Rising above hundreds of voices on the grand stage of Pakistan Idol, 14-year-old singing prodigy Faryal Amber has captivated audiences and judges alike with her melodious and mature singing style. Hailing from Chak No. 3 Ram Diwali, a village in Faisalabad, Faryal impressed everyone by performing difficult compositions with such finesse that even seasoned artists were compelled to praise her. She is currently the youngest contestant among the Top 16. Following her remarkable audition performance, Faryal returned to her village with the coveted “Golden Mic”, where she received an overwhelming and emotional welcome from family, friends and local residents. Speaking about her journey, Faryal said she had been passionate about singing since childhood.

“I began humming tunes at the age of six and sang my first national song then. I can sing ghazals, songs as well as classical music. By the grace of God, I pick things very quickly.” At the age of nine, she began formal training under renowned classical vocalist Ustad Shafiq Ali Khan. Faryal’s parents, recognizing her natural talent and love for music from an early age, ensured she received proper training.

They are overjoyed that their daughter has made it to the Top 16 of Pakistan Idol. Her father, Nasser, said, “I’m extremely happy that my daughter has reached the Top 16. It is the result of her hard work, dedication and the unwavering support of her family.

Behind this achievement are countless efforts that people do not see.” Ustad Shafiq Ali Khan also expressed pride in his student’s accomplishment and voiced full confidence that Faryal would continue to excel in the upcoming rounds. Although illness prevented her from performing on stage during the Gala Round, Faryal Amber remains among the Top 16 contestants and is currently dedicating her time to rigorous practice to deliver her best in the next stages of the competition.
