Gone are the days when international travel by air to/ from Pakistan was perceived as an enjoyable and comfortable experience. Now, there are numerous problems that make the process quite difficult. Due to the shortage of counters for entry and exit, long queues of passengers cause immense frustration at our airports. All the passengers flock towards each counter irrespective of whether they are reserved for seniors, families, foreigners etc.
On many occasions, I have seen foreign passengers expressing their anguish at the misuse of special counters for foreign passport holders. The shortage of elevators, rest rooms, baggage carts and porters are also problems faced by the passengers of local as well as international flights.
