In compliance with the directives issued by the Sindh government, I had applied for replacement of my car's old number plate. Since the initial deadline for change of number was not realistic, it was extended more than once but the authorities have also announced
a number of penalties for non-compliance. However, they have not been very
proficient when it comes to actually issuing the new number plates.
The authorities are requested to arrange delivery of new number plates within a specific time period. Failure to do so means imposing penalties on the vehicle owners is highly unjustified.
