LAHORE:Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan has said that no one will get air bases in Pakistan as the integrity of our country comes first.
The governor stated this while responding to a question related to Iran-Israel conflict and Pakistan's stance on it. "Pakistan will benefit the most if the Iran issue is resolved because the world is thinking of investing in Pakistan and if the Iran war continues for a long time, it will be harmful for Pakistan" said Punjab Governor while talking to media at the residence of former PPP Women’s Wing District 4 President Parveen Sheikh on the death of her husband Sheikh Younus. The governor offered fateha and expressed condolence with the bereaved family on the occasion.
Punjab Governor further said that Allah honoured us in the Pak-India war. Ot was Allah's reward that Pakistan's honour and dignity increased and the whole world saw that our forces outclassed India. The memorable victory was achieved under the leadership of the commander-in-chief, the president and the prime minister.
The governor said that Bilawal Bhutto fought the case of the country alone in the world and the world heard the case of Pakistan but no one asked the Indian delegation. For the first time, he said the US President called our country's Army Chief and this had increased the country's respect.
The governor said that committed workers like Parveen Sheikh are our pride who have kept the party flag high. In response to media questions, the governor said that there has been no organisational president in Lahore for a year, which is our failure. When the chairman returns, he will meet with a delegation and complete the organisational structure.
‘Business activities key to economic stability’
Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan said that the business community is the backbone of the country’s economy. Business activities are indispensable for economic stability. He expressed these views during a meeting with Lahore Liberty and Gulberg Market Senior Vice President Umar Saleem and other businessmen who called on him at the Governor’s House on Thursday.
During the meeting, the business community expressed full confidence in Governor Punjab and some of the businessmen including Umar Saleem announced to join PPP. Senior PPP leaders Nadeem Afzal Chan, Azizur Rehman Chan and others were also present on the occasion.
Punjab governor said that the PPP has always supported the business community, fostering a favourable environment for entrepreneurship and business growth.
