Feedback

Dear Ed,

In today’s issue of Us magazine, I found the cover story ‘Pakistan or abroad?’ by Majid Shafi very insightful and spot on in the current economic perspective. The article is balanced as it presents the pros and cons of living abroad and also discusses ‘brain gain’ as opposed to ‘brain drain’. As a Pakistani living abroad, I find the writer’s perspective about giving back to the country very positive. More importantly, it does not just harp on the problems in our country but offers a ray of hope to those who choose to come back, knowing what to expect. I also enjoyed the quiz on kings and queens and ‘Comic Relief’.

Hi Ed,

In the issue of 27 March, I enjoyed the interview with Fatima Lodin by Asif Khan. Her answers were very sensible and show that she is mature beyond her years. I also enjoyed ‘Comic Relief’ and ‘Poets’ Corner’.

PSL mishaps

Dear Editor,

I have always been a huge supporter of the Pakistan cricket team and the PSL. I have followed this league since its inception, but I feel that the fans have been deceived this time. We were promised a world-class tournament, but what we are seeing this season is very low quality and disappointing. It is honestly embarrassing to see the match ball turn pink and red simply because of the cheap dye used in the players' jerseys. This happened right at the start of the season at Gaddafi Stadium, and it looked very unprofessional on international TV. When equipment fails like this, it makes the whole league look like a local street tournament instead of a professional brand. The atmosphere is also very dull. Playing behind closed doors with fake crowd noise feels hollow and boring. The fans are the soul of the PSL, and without them, the energy is completely gone. On top of that, the broadcast has many glitches, making it hard to even enjoy the game from home. The PSL has always been our pride, but this season’s lack of care is hurting its reputation. I hope the management realises that the fans deserve much better than this. Please fix these issues before the league loses its respect.
