Music has always been a mirror of personal expression and cultural shifts, and Spotify’s Wrapped has become a yearly celebration of just that. Apart from letting listeners explore their most-played tracks, artists and podcasts, it is also followed-up by an event celebrating artists and songs.

potify Wrapped has grown into one of the most talked about cultural moments in music, each year offering listeners a personalised recap of their listening habits and spotlighting global and local trends. What started as an end of year snapshot has turned into a major social moment that shapes fan conversations around favourite songs, genres and artists. In Pakistan, this year’s Wrapped data showed a surge in local music consumption and highlighted how young artists are defining the sound of the moment with listeners engaging more than ever before.

Spotify hosted its highly anticipated year-end celebration of Wrapped ’25 in Karachi this past week with an immersive event that placed music and self expression at the forefront.

The evening brought together local artists, select influencers and media to celebrate a year shaped by personal taste and Pakistan’s evolving music culture. Anchored in this year’s unapologetic Wrapped theme, guests were invited to engage with music on their own terms. Interactive installations spotlighted fan obsessions, while neon-lit portrait booths captured unfiltered express-ions throughout the venue. From sound to setting every detail rein-forced a single idea: this was a year to own your sound without filters.

Hosted by Ayla Adnan, the evening featured a curated DJ lineup including Mouseeki Machine, ZULU and Disguise in Hoodie, each deli-vering distinct mixes that kept the crowd moving.

The celebration also featured performances by artists such as Afusic, Natasha Humera Ejaz, Shareh and Umer Anjum, alongside content creators Areeka Haq, Reeja Jeelani, Hemayal and Daniya Kanwal, who engaged directly with fans throu-ghout the venue.

Adding an exclusive twist, Spotify hosted VIP Wrapped Awards during the event, a live extension of the platform’s in-app Wrapped Party feature.

The awards recognised members of Spotify’s VIP community for their distinctive listening habits, mirroring the personalised accolades users receive within the app. Among the winners were Dino Ali and Osamah Nasir, highlighting the enthusiasm and loyalty of Spotify’s local com-munity.

“2025 Wrapped is our most unapologetic expression of listening yet,” said Talha Hashim, Spotify’s Marketing Manager for Pakistan.

“This year’s experience captured real listening behaviour, unfiltered taste and the stories behind every listener’s soundtrack. Within the first 24 hours alone, over 200 million users worldwide engaged with the Wra-pped in-app experience, generating more than 500 million shares globally. This milestone reflects just how much our users embraced this year’s Wrapped.”

Through Wrapped ‘25, Spotify continues to celebrate Pakistani artists and the fans who support them, creating a space where individ-uality, creativity and music converge.
