3 killed in Bannu attacks

BANNU: Three persons were killed in separate apparent targeted shooting incidents in different parts of the district on Tuesday, police officials said.

They said the first incident occurred in the Kashu area within the jurisdiction of Domel Police Station, where the body of an unidentified man was recovered. The victim was later identified as Mikhail.

The second incident took place in the Pir Dilkhel area in the limits of Cantt Police Station. Police officials said the deceased was identified as Zabta Khan.In the third incident, unidentified assailants opened fire on Suleman Khan near Shaheen Adda in Mamashkhel. He sustained serious injuries and was shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital by a Rescue 1122 team. Doctors, however, pronounced him dead on arrival.

Police have registered separate cases in connection with all three incidents and launched investigations to trace the attackers and determine the motives behind the killings.The incidents have heightened concerns over the recent spate of targeted killings in the district.
