ISLAMABAD The federal government has approved the premature retirement of Secretary Climate Change Division Aisha Hamira Chaudhry and appointed her as a member of the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) for three years, while the notification issued earlier for the appointment of Aslam Dar as a member of the FPSC has been cancelled.
In a separate notification, Aisha Hamira Chaudhry has been appointed as a FPSC member for three years and her appointment will also be effective from July 1, 2026 and she will take charge of her new post on the same day, according to the notification.
The prime minister has accepted the resignation of MP-1 Scale Officer Ikram-ul-Haq Qureshi, posted as Member (Legal) in the Ministry of IT, effective from April 30, 2026 as he has resigned from his previous position to take up the post of Chairman of Social Media Complaints Council under the Ministry of Interior. Ikram-ul-Haq Qureshi has also been assigned the additional charge of the post of Member (Legal) in the Ministry of IT and he will continue to perform these additional duties along with his existing responsibilities for 3 months or until a permanent appointment is made (whichever is earlier). The federal government has extended the additional charge of Secretary Investment Board (Board of Investment) assigned to Jamil Ahmed Qureshi for another 3 months. The extension will be effective from June 6, 2026. Jamil Ahmed Qureshi is currently serving as Additional Secretary (in-charge) Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) Division and he will also continue to hold the additional charge of Secretary Investment Board.
