ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman engaged in a light-hearted exchange during the National Assembly session on Wednesday, drawing laughter from members of the House.
During the proceedings, Shehbaz referred to a private conversation he had recently held with Fazl but declined to disclose its contents. “I will take to my grave whatever I discussed with Maulana in private and will never reveal it,” the prime minister remarked while addressing the House.
Responding to the comment, Fazl humorously told the prime minister that he had permission to share the details of their conversation with the assembly. However, Shehbaz declined the offer, saying: “I will not accept Maulana’s offer because then matters will go so far that they may never return.”
