LAHORE:Officers and personnel of Punjab Police performed security duties while remaining on high alert during Christian worship and prayer services held in churches across the province, including Lahore.

Earlier, IG Abdul Kareem issued orders to RPOs, DPOs, and senior police officers to enhance the security of churches. He directed that supervisory officers should personally inspect the security arrangements of churches, important places, and sensitive locations. Abdul Kareem said that religious scholars, the Christian community, and members of peace committees should play their role in promoting interfaith harmony.
