UVAS students pitch new business ideas

LAHORE : Students from all campuses of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) have showcased their innovative business ideas in the UVAS’s 4th Business Plan Competition Drive phase-2 final round arranged by the Business Incubation Centre (BIC) of the university.

Twelve finalist teams pitched their innovative business ideas before a judging panel. GC University Lahore Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr M Omer Chaudhry, who was chief guest of the event, and chief host UVAS Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Masood Rabbani distributed prizes among the winning teams. Dean Veterinary Science Prof Dr Kamran Ashraf and BIC Director Prof Dr Mian Abdul Hafeez were also present. Team Mood Tea from City Campus won the first position with a cash prize of Rs50,000. The team developed innovative tea bags in three distinct varieties, each formulated with scientifically approved ingredients designed to support different human moods and wellbeing needs.

The second prize of Rs 40,000 was awarded to Team Floral Vibes from City Campus for presenting a sustainable business idea that converts dried leaves into decorative scenery products, promoting environmental conservation through creative recycling. Team Organic Converter from City Campus and Team Fin Fantasy from Ravi Campus Pattoki, shared the third position with a prize of Rs 30,000.
