Sindh Chief Minister’s Adviser on Human Settlement, Spatial Development and Social Housing Najmi Alam took immediate notice of persistent and unannounced power outages in the Burns Garden area of the city and intervened with senior officials of K-Electric to seek urgent resolution of the issue affecting residents and businesses.
A delegation from Burns Garden called on Alam at his office to raise concerns over frequent loadshedding and prolonged electricity disruptions in the locality. The delegation highlighted the growing hardships faced by residents due to recurring power cuts.
Alam immediately contacted Abdul Quddus, General Manager of K-Electric’s Saddar Zone, and conveyed the complaints received from the residents.
Acting on the adviser’s instructions, members of the delegation also met the K-Electric GM and provided a detailed account of the electricity crisis in Burns Garden.
Responding to the concerns, the K-Electric official assured the delegation that the matter would be addressed on a priority basis.
