Pakistan’s rapidly growing population has become a serious threat to our nation’s development and future prosperity. Millions of youth are entering adulthood without quality education or employment opportunities, turning what could be a demographic dividend into a ticking time bomb. I urge the government to treat population management as a national emergency. Investment in girls’ education, family planning and maternal healthcare is the need of the hour.
Countries like Bangladesh and Vietnam reduced fertility rates through exactly these measures. Pakistan must act now before it is too late.
