LAHORE: The Punjab Home Department has directed authorities across the province to implement comprehensive security and administrative arrangements for the visit of Indian Sikh pilgrims expected to arrive in Pakistan this month to participate in the martyrdom anniversary observances of Guru Arjun Dev Ji and the death anniversary commemorations of Maharaja Ranjit Singh.

According to an official communication issued by the Home Department, around 1,000 Sikh yatrees from India are expected to attend the martyrdom day ceremonies of Guru Arjun Dev Ji from June 10 to 19, while another 500 pilgrims are anticipated to participate in events marking the death anniversary of Maharaja Ranjit Singh from June 21 to 30.
