NUSHKI: Unknown armed men set fire to at least six LPG bowsers in the Mall area of Nushki district on Wednesday.

District Police Officer (DPO) Saleem Shahwani confirmed the incident and said that the vehicles were travelling to Taftan, a town located near Iranian border in Chagai district, without prior intimation or a request for security. Official sources said that the incident took place on the N-40 Quetta–Taftan Highway, where armed men attacked seven LPG bowsers by bursting their tyres with gunshots and setting them on fire. However, one bowser was successfully saved from the blaze, while the remaining six were destroyed.

Security forces reached the site and launched a search operation to apprehend the perpetrators.
