The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency Karachi on Wednesday conducted an operation against an illegal call centre operating in Gulistan-e-Jauhar’s Block 12 and arrested six individuals allegedly involved in cyber fraud and financial crimes.
According to officials, the suspects were engaged in deceiving people through hacking activities and unauthorized access to sensitive banking information, including bank accounts and credit card details. The operation was carried out following intelligence and technical surveillance, leading authorities to the premises where the illegal activities were allegedly being conducted.
A case has been registered under various sections of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act 2016, including Sections 3, 4, 13, 14, 16 and 26, read with Sections 34 and 109 of the Pakistan Penal Code. The suspects named in the FIR include Raheel, Leonard Edgar Dean, Joshua Harrison, Leon Samson Dean, Edison Aftab, Hamza Shaikh and Arnold Dean.
