LAHORE:Secretary Communications & Works (C&W) Raja Jahangir Anwar, accompanied by senior officials of the department, visited Lahore General Hospital (LGH) and held a detailed meeting with Principal of Amiruddin Medical College & PGMI Prof Dr Farooq Afzal.
During the visit, it was decided to start renovation work on the Plastic Surgery Operation Theatre on a priority basis. To ensure uninterrupted patient care, Prof Dr Farooq Afzal has allocated an alternative Operation Theatre for Plastic Surgery during the construction period. This proactive step will prevent any disruption in treatment and spare patients from unnecessary inconvenience; 12 renovated rooms of the Nursing Hostel were formally handed over to the college administration.
In the meeting, Prof Dr Farooq Afzal briefed Secretary Jahangir Anwar on the current condition of the theatre. Following the briefing, approval was granted for the urgent commencement of repair works. LGH MS Prof Dr Faryad Hussain, Chief Engineer C&W Muhammad Arshad and other relevant officers were also present.
