LAHORE:DIG Operations Faisal Kamran on Wednesday held an open court at his office and heard complaints from citizens on various issues.
During the session, he directed the SHO Green Town to take legal action, based on video evidence and other proof, on a complaint filed by a female tenant against her landlord for alleged harassment and threats.
Applications related to financial disputes, fraud, and fights were also received. The DIG instructed officers concerned to proceed strictly on merit.On a complaint of a father alleging violence by his son, the SHO Baghbanpura was directed to provide protection to the complainant and take action against the son after verification.
Similarly, the SHO Defence-C was ordered to take legal action the same day, based on evidence, on a complaint regarding threats by a friend and alleged police inaction.In a business investment dispute between friends involving non-payment of returns, the SHO Sherakot was directed to facilitate reconciliation between both parties. The SHO Sundar was instructed to resolve a dispute where a citizen claimed non-payment of remaining amount after sale and possession of a plot.
On a complaint by a woman alleging embezzlement of funds by a neighbour, the SHO Shalimar was directed to hear both parties in the presence of a female police officer and resolve the matter. In a theft complaint by a shopkeeper against an employee, the SHO Sabzazar was instructed to take action after verification.
