LAHORE:President of the Election Commission of Jamaat-i-Islami Pakistan, Rashid Naseem, has announced the names of 25 women elected to the Central Shura of the Women’s Wing for the 2026–2029 term.

The newly-elected members include distinguished women from various walks of life who have rendered significant services in their respective fields. Among them are medical doctors (MBBS), PhD scholars, authors, columnists, educationists, and former parliamentarians.

According to the announced results, nine members were elected from Sindh, four from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, one from Balochistan, three from North Punjab, one from the Islamabad chapter, three from Central Punjab, two from Lahore, and two from South Punjab.

The elected members include Maria Aftab, Rabia Painda, Hasina Shah and Fauzia Noreen from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa; Qudsia Namoos from Islamabad; Zahida Ashraf, Kausar Parveen and Maryam Jameela from North Punjab; Uzma Imran and Nazia Tauheed from Lahore; Tayyaba Arshad and Bushra Sadiqa from Central Punjab; Shazia Sial and Shazia Sher Afzal from South Punjab; Jawadan Faheem, Rukhsanda Naz Muneeb, Afshan Naveed, Durdana Siddiqui, Farah Imran, Asma Safeer, Musarrat Junaid, Nadeema Tasneem and Ayesha Zaheer from Sindh and Karachi; and Shazia Abdullah from Balochistan.
