Sindhi ralli is one of the oldest cultural traditions of Sindh, Pakistan. It is a handmade quilt created by joining small pieces of cloth through patchwork and applique work. For generations, women in Sindh have made rallis inside their homes with patience, skill and creativity. A ralli reflects tradition, emotions, family history and local wisdom passed from mothers to daughters over many years. It also carries an important environmental message. In a time when the world is struggling with climate change, pollution and textile waste, this old tradition gives a great lesson in sustainable living.

Old and leftover pieces of cloth are reused instead of being thrown away. This reduces waste and supports recycling in a natural way. Sadly, many traditional crafts are disappearing because of machine-made products and lack of support. Younger generations are gradually moving away from these skills. If such traditions disappear, cultural identity and local environmental wisdom will disappear with them. Sindhi ralli deserves recognition, preservation and support at national and international levels.
