WANA: Two sons of a tribal elder were gunned down in the Kari Kot Bazaar area of South Waziristan here on Friday, police said.According to the police, unidentified gunmen opened fire, killing two sons of a tribal elder, Malik Jamil Wazir, while injuring a passerby.
Police said the deceased were identified as Moinuddin and Naveed. The injured, named Syed Anwar, was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was under treatment. The bodies were also transferred to the same hospital.
The police launched a search to apprehend the suspects, who managed to escape from the spot.An investigation was launched into the incident.Local sources said that Malik Jamil Wazir, who is the chief elder of the Tojikhel tribe, survived several attacks. Last year, one of his sons was killed by unidentified persons.
