Summer in Pakistan is incomplete without mangoes. From Sindh to Punjab, mango orchards come alive during the summer months, providing enjoyment to millions of people. Pakistan is blessed with ideal climatic conditions for mango cultivation and is among the world’s leading mango-producing countries. Popular varieties such as Sindhri, Chaunsa, Anwar Ratol and Langra are highly appreciated both within the country and across international markets. Every year, Pakistani mangoes are exported to numerous countries in the Middle East, Europe, North America, and Asia, where they are known for their exceptional quality and flavour.

The growing global demand for Pakistani mangoes contributes significantly to the national economy by generating valuable foreign exchange and supporting thousands of farmers and workers associated with the agricultural sector. However, challenges such as climate change, water shortages and inadequate storage facilities can affect production and exports. To maintain Pakistan’s reputation in the international market, greater attention should be given to modern farming techniques, quality control and export infrastructure. Government support and investment in the agricultural sector can further enhance mango production and competitiveness.
