As Pakistan prepares for Budget 2026-27, many citizens are hoping for measures that will ease financial pressure on ordinary families. While economic indicators may show improvement, daily life remains challenging for people struggling with household expenses, education costs and basic necessities. For most Pakistanis, the real success of a budget is not measured by statistics but by its impact on their lives. Salaried employees, students and small business owners want policies that provide stability and make essential services more affordable. What concerns me is that public expectations often remain unmet despite repeated promises of relief. Economic growth is important, but it should translate into better opportunities and living standards for everyone.
