Frequent electricity outages have become a serious problem in our area near Risala Police Lines and Nishtar Road, Karachi. People in the neighbourhood face regular power cuts that disturb daily life and make routine activities difficult. In our area, electricity often remains off for around 3 hours, and when it is restored, it usually lasts only 1.5 to 2 hours before going again. This cycle continues throughout the day, making it very hard for residents to manage their work, studies and household tasks. There are several reasons behind this issue including high demand for electricity, especially during hot weather.
Another major issue is water supply. In many homes, water cannot be pumped without electricity, so daily routines are disturbed during outages. Internet and mobile charging are also affected, which creates further inconvenience. Proper maintenance of the electricity system, quick repair of faults and better planning can help reduce these outages. Citizens should also use electricity responsibly to reduce pressure on the system.
