This refers to the letter ‘Immunise Every Child’ (June 4, 2026) by Saadullah Qureshi. I fully endorse the views expressed in the letter and wish to emphasise that immunisation is not only a government responsibility but a shared duty of everyone involved in a child’s life. From birth, every child should receive an official vaccination card and begin the recommended immunisation schedule.
The message of immunisation must reach every household. At the same time, vaccines must be consistently available in hospitals, dispensaries and local health units. Vaccination sites must be clean, hygienic and safe to ensure proper administration and effective immunity.
