LAHORE:DIG Operations Faisal Kamran suspended an ASI after allegations of misconduct and misuse of authority were found correct in an inquiry following a complaint in an open court. An FIR has also been registered.
DIG Operations stated that strict action is being taken against negligence and abuse of power, and ensuring public trust and timely justice remains a top priority. DIG Operations Faisal Kamran said that extraordinary security arrangements were made for the Pak–Australia ODI match at the Gaddafi Stadium. Around 6,275 police officers and personnel were deployed.
