LAHORE : Divisional Superintendent Pakistan Railways Lahore, Inamullah said that providing safe, comfortable, and convenient travel facilities to passengers is a top priority of Pakistan Railways, and all departments are taking necessary steps in this regard.
He expressed these views during his visit to Lahore Railway Station where he reviewed arrangements made in view of the expected passenger rush after Eid-ul-Azha.
During the visit, he inspected cleanliness arrangements outsourced through LWMC and directed staff concerned to further improve hygiene standards at the station. He also checked water coolers installed at platform No 2 and platform No 5. Orders were issued to make an additional water cooler operational at platform No 2 to facilitate passengers.
The DS Railways also reviewed food and vending stalls at the station. He checked rate lists, quality of food items, cleanliness, and freshness of products. He directed that passengers must be provided quality items at approved rates and strict compliance with hygiene standards must be ensured.
Divisional Electrical Engineer M Nasser, Divisional Executive Engineer Abdul Rehman, Station Manager Zafar Iqbal, and other officials were also present during the visit.
