LAHORE : Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Fazlur Rehman has presided over an important meeting regarding sports development schemes at the Punjab Stadium.
The utilisation of funds, speed of construction work and quality of sports schemes were reviewed in detail during the meeting.
DG Sports Punjab M Tariq Qureshi, Additional Secretary Sports Shabbir Hussain Cheema, Director Youth Affairs M Fahad and officers from PMU attended the meeting.
Addressing the meeting, Secretary Sports Punjab Fazlur Rehman directed the officials concerned complete the 15 slow moving sports schemes as per given time frame. “There will be no compromise on the quality of material in the construction of sports complexes”.
He said that 77% of the funds have been utilized in the construction of development sports schemes. “The Youth Affairs and Sports Department is taking the best steps for the development of youth and promotion of sports culture”.
He further said that modern sports complexes are being constructed in all divisions of the Punjab province. “Practical measures are being taken for the welfare of youth and promotion of sports in accordance with the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz”.
