189 arrested on Eid

LAHORE : Police arrested 189 individuals and registered 152 cases during Eid-ul-Azha for violations of government regulations.

According to the police spokesperson, 80 people were arrested and 70 cases registered for illegal collection of sacrificial animal hides. Action was also taken against roadside roasting activities, with 76 individuals arrested and 55 cases registered for causing environmental pollution.

Police arrested 13 individuals for one-wheeling and registered seven cases, while 12 persons involved in kite flying were arrested with 12 cases registered. Six individuals were held for aerial firing and two for violations of the Loudspeaker Act, with cases registered accordingly.

Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Bilal Siddique Kamyana expressed satisfaction over the peaceful conduct of Eid, stating that enhanced security deployment, monitoring, and patrolling ensured a safe environment across the city.
