Corruption is a major obstacle to the development of Pakistan. It exists in many forms, such as bribery, nepotism, favouritism and misuse of power, which weaken institutions and destroy public trust. In many cases, people have to use personal connections or pay bribes to get even their rightful work done. When merit is ignored and unfair practices become common, honest and deserving individuals suffer the most. Corruption not only creates injustice but also damages the social fabric by promoting dishonesty and inequality. It slows economic growth, discourages investment and increases poverty, making life harder for ordinary citizens.

To reduce corruption, the government should ensure strict accountability and enforce laws equally for everyone. Transparency in public institutions, strong leadership and moral education can help control this issue. Public awareness and honest governance are essential for building a fair and progressive society.
