LAHORE : “Punjab Minister for Energy Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar has appealed to the public to exercise utmost caution while tying sacrificial animals ahead of Eidul Azha.
He urged citizens not to tie animals near electricity poles, transformers, or hanging power lines, as even minor negligence can lead to dangerous accidents involving both human lives and valuable animals.
He stated that due to the increased movement and presence of sacrificial animals before Eid, it is extremely important to adopt proper safety measures to avoid any untoward incidents.
Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar further emphasised that citizens should carefully inspect the area before tying animals and ensure that no hazardous electrical installations or exposed wires are present nearby. He also advised parents to instruct children to stay away from electricity wires and power installations to prevent accidents.
The minister said the Energy Department and relevant authorities are fully active in ensuring a safe environment for the public; however, public cooperation is equally essential.
He urged citizens to follow safety guidelines responsibly in order to protect both human lives and sacrificial animals during the Eid season.
