LAHORE : On the directions of IGP Abdul Kareem, strict security arrangements have been ensured at cattle markets.
A Punjab Police spokesperson said more than 4,000 officers and personnel have been deployed for the security of 222 cattle markets across the province. In Lahore, more than 600 police officers and personnel are deployed for the security of six cattle markets. The IGP said police should continue effective patrolling around cattle markets.
The spokesperson said 150 officers and personnel have been deployed for the security of 23 cattle markets in Sheikhupura Region. In Gujranwala Region, 525 officers and personnel are deployed for the security of 44 cattle markets. In Rawalpindi Region, more than 340 officers and personnel have been deployed for the security of 22 cattle markets.
