CHITRAL: The worsening flood situation in Chitral has created severe difficulties for residents, tourists, and travelers, particularly those arriving from various parts of the country.
Heavy rains have triggered flash floods in seasonal streams at several locations between the Lowari Tunnel and Chitral city, leaving roads covered with debris and causing erosion in multiple areas.
As a result, transportation has been badly affected, with traffic repeatedly suspended due to continuing flood conditions. Though the departments concerned, including the district administration, NHA, and TMA, are engaged in clearing debris and restoring road access, the ongoing rainfall continues to hamper operations.
