The Sindh High Court on Saturday launched two transformative digital initiatives, an AI-enabled search engine and a mobile application, aimed at providing litigants, advocates and citizens with convenient access to court services and case information.
Both digital initiatives, LRC-Assistant (AI-enabled search engine) and the Mobile App (CFMS) on the iOS platform, were developed in-house by the IT Department of the High Court of Sindh. The launch of these digital initiatives reaffirmed the SHC’s commitment to modernising judicial administration and enhancing access to justice for all.
According to court officials, the SHC Case Flow Management mobile application was a user-friendly iOS platform designed to provide litigants, advocates and citizens with easy access to court services and case-related information. Key features of the application include fixed case notifications through hearing alerts, e-services such as online CTC requests, e-notices and e-filing, as well as case search facilities across the SHC, circuit benches and district courts. The application also offered a Case Hub containing cause lists, court proceedings, judges’ rosters and case schedules.
The LRC-Assistant was an AI-powered legal research and decision-support system conceived and developed by the IT Department of the High Court of Sindh. The system was designed to assist high court judges and research officers through an intelligent chatbot interface that leverages trained machine learning models and indexed judicial data repositories. It enabled advanced query-based retrieval of judgments and orders.
The system also integrated access to orders, case diaries and related judicial records by extracting and processing data from scanned as well as digitised case files. Justice Zafar Ahmed Rajput, Chairman of the IT Committee, along with Justice Mohammad Faisal Kamal Alam, Justice Adnan Iqbal Chaudhry and other judges, appreciated the dedicated efforts of the IT Department of the High Court of Sindh.
