ISLAMABAD: The director general of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Dr. Usman Anwar, has taken notice of an incident that occurred during a raid in Karachi’s Sarafa Bazaar and has sought a detailed report on the matter.

The FIA Headquarters spokesperson said the FIA DG has directed the director of the Karachi Zone to conduct a comprehensive inquiry into the incident. Instructions have been issued to examine all aspects of the operation and submit a detailed report within 48 hours.

The SHO of concerned Circle has been suspended on the order of the Karachi FIA director and an inquiry into such a daring attack by the FIA staff has been initiated.

The inquiry will review all events that took place during the raid, including legal procedures followed, relevant evidence, and material circulating on social media related to the incident. Authorities have been instructed to carry out an impartial assessment of the matter.

The FIA reiterated that it is a professional institution committed to transparent and unbiased action in accordance with the law.

The spokesperson further stated that strict legal action would be taken against all individuals found involved in unlawful activities or misconduct connected to the incident.
