Islamabad: Muslims should spiritually prepare for the blessed first 10 days of Zil Haj, as these 10 days are among the most virtuous days of the year in light of the Quran and Sunnah, said Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saad Alahmed, acting rector and president of the International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI).

He was delivering the Friday sermon at Faisal Masjid, Islamabad. He emphasized increased engagement in prayer, fasting, remembrance of Allah, Takbir, charity, and other righteous deeds during these sacred days.

Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saad Alahmed is not only a religious scholar of high caliber, but he also is a psychologist of international standards. He is counted among key advocates of global peace. Earlier during his keynote address at International Narowal Peace Dialogue 2026, he said sustainable peace begins within the human mind.
