A woman was allegedly killed by her husband following a domestic dispute in the Shah Baig Goth area of Karachi’s Surjani Town on Thursday.
Police arrested the suspect, Nazir, shortly after the incident and took the woman’s body from a house near Chandi Dera to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. The victim was identified as 40-year-old Kiran alias Saima, wife of Nazir. According to SHO Sohail Khaskheli, the woman was allegedly strangled by her husband after a domestic dispute. He added that the couple had been experiencing tensions for several days and the woman had reportedly been demanding a divorce. Police said that during a quarrel on Thursday, the suspect first subjected his wife to violence and then strangled.
